"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
EL MUNDO in Madrid explains.
DEIA in Bilbao decodes.
DIARIO VASCO in San Sebastian goes blue…
…and in Valencia LAS PROVINCIAS (same group) follows.
Do they need a design director?
Is this what a local paper means?
Really sad.
Now you know why LEVANTE rules en Valencia.
And why LA VOZ DE GALICIA in La Coruña knows better what a local and regional paper means with the real news of the day about the founder oz ZARA.
While DIARIO DE NOTICIAS in Pamplona does art and literature.
INNOVATION’s newspaper have won this “European Newspaper of the Year” Award for five consecutive years!
A few minutes ago and from Germany came the great news: Diario de Noticias of Madeira (Portugal) is one of the “European Newspaper of the Year” in the “local newspapers” category.
With less than 40 journalists, and just four designers, Diario de Noticias, a 15,000 copies local tabloid newspaper in Funchal, was redesigned and relaunched by INNOVATION three years ago.
Since then, the prototype and templates done by INNOVATION’s Guillermo Negore have been implemented, developed and improved day by day.
And like the good wine, the newspaper as improved with the time, and hard work of this energetic and creative newsroom lead three years ago by Luis Calisto and now by Ricardo Oliveira, under the business management of Michael Blandy as president and José Bettencourt da Câmara as CEO.
Parabens para voces!
Thank you to all the INNOVATION team that made this fantastic redesign a big success: Eduardo Tessler, Project Manager, Guillermo Nagore, Carlos Soria, Decio Trujillo, Ricardo Chaves, Marta Botero .
And our thanks go also to Rodrigo Buldrini, the former design director of Diario de Noticias for his great help in the takeoff.
The Award will be presented to Diario de Noticias at the 2011 European Newspaper Congress in Vienna.
See here some great inside pages, and here more superb front pages.
"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
"Basically the price of a night on the town!"
"I'd love to help kickstart continued development! And 0 EUR/month really does make fiscal sense too... maybe I'll even get a shirt?" (there will be limited edition shirts for two and other goodies for each supporter as soon as we sold the 200)
