For sure a big step to increase the interactivity of posts from your friends in your Facebook timeline. What if you discover in your timeline that one of your friends has cooked a new recipe and the friend's post allows you to download the recipe without leaving the story?

Facebook "likes" aren't speech protected by the First Amendment

ars technica :: Bobby Bland and his cohorts worked in the Hampton Sheriff’s Office, under B.J. Roberts. Roberts ran for re-election against Jim Adams, and the plaintiffs were lukewarm in their support of Roberts. In fact, three of the plaintiffs went so far as to "like" Adams' Facebook page. Roberts won the election, and he decided to not retain the plaintiffs. He justified the terminations on cost-cutting and budgeting grounds, but plaintiffs argued that their termination violated their First Amendment rights.

Dori Hartley: When you die on Facebook

Huffington Post :: For about four years now, I've kept an account on Facebook. It's been good; I've generally enjoyed my time spent on the site. I've reconnected with old friends, sold books and directed readers over to my Huffington Post essays. I've seen the engagement announcements of my friends, read about their marriages and break-ups -- I've seen their newborn babies and photos of their beloved pets. I've also witnessed another strange natural occurrence: the death of friends. So, what happens when you die on Facebook?

Social TV highlights from the MTV upfront

Lost Remote :: A packed Beacon Theater in NYC enjoyed a fun MTV upfront that highlighted a slew of new and returning programing built for a Twitter and Facebook generation. Here’s how social TV will play an even bigger part of MTV’s programming and initiatives for the next year.
