- Tips on embracing video and going multimedia – A look at tips on video and multimedia from the WAN-IFRA 9th International Newsroom Summit . Nothing much new but this point about multimedia was interesting – “Navigation is crucial, Wallem Fossan said, and highlighted moving through different numbered steps as a good way to get people involved. “Around 75% of users move onto the next step,”

- Research: UK Journalism Has Cut A Third Of Its Jobs In Last Decade – After surveying trade news sites, he found 9,500 journalism job losses were reported between January 2007 and June 2009 alone. Conversely, the number of journalism university graduates has never been higher – 7,590 in 2008/09; that’s 0.60 percent of all UK graduates.
